The article from the Reno Gazette-Urinal is here.  But since they have Gannett's 30-day online limit, I'll post it here too:

Freeway interchange at Moana in Reno now open to traffic

(Video on page)

The new freeway interchange at Moana Lane and Interstate 580-U.S. 395 is now open to traffic, officials with the Nevada Department of Transportation report. The so-called "diverging diamond"  interchange is the first of its kind in Nevada.

A second interchange located on the freeway at Meadowood Mall Way should be open by 6 p.m. or 7 p.m., officials said.

NDOT and the Regional Transportation Commission timed the opening of both interchanges in advance of Black Friday and the holiday shopping period. The Meadowood interchange is seen as particularly important with regard to its impacts on shoppers.

The Moana interchange has very imbalanced traffic volumes, so this seemed to me like a very good design solution. I am excited to drive through this.
