Does it make me a bad roadgeek if I admit that I don't own any signs and have no desire to acquire any?
Photos I post are my own unless otherwise noted.

Not at all.  To each their own.
Runnin' roads and polishin' rails.

Central Avenue

Routewitches. These children of the moving road gather strength from travel . . . Rather than controlling the road, routewitches choose to work with it, borrowing its strength and using it to make bargains with entities both living and dead. -- Seanan McGuire, Sparrow Hill Road

I love that lettering.
Me too, although the Manhattan/Bronx/Brooklyn blue humpback porcelain signs from the late 20s to late 40s are even better:

Picked up another interesting piece or two....

I always loved the New England Thruway trailblazer, that is one I would love have in my collection too!

This one was given to me as a gift and it instantly became one of my favorites.

You all have seen my spiffy red YIELD RIGHT OF WAY'.....here are a few more recent additions

From Connecticut....these were going extinct in the early 70s, but i recall a few of them....

Normal light and flash

and finally, an extinct Ohio route.....Ohio 440 was the temporary designation used on the National Road when US 40 was relocated onto I-70 in the 1960s-early 70s....

Added another sign to my collection and this is now my favorite:

Ended up paying well under market value for a cutout/embossed NY state route sign and it was finally in my price range.

If you paid under $100 for that, we are all jealous and you are lucky.

old-antiques-4-you on eBay, judging by past items sold, it's not much of a source.
