He also reported on the importance of the planned improvements for Route 740  (Stadium Boulevard). Currently, MoDOT is partnering with the City and two  transportation development districts to improve the interchange at Interstate 70 and Route 740 to a diverging diamond interchange, and the existing five-lane undivided Route 740 will be improved to a six-lane divided roadway with a median sufficiently wide enough to accommodate dual-left turns at the intersections. The project will also include modifications and safety improvements to several city streets along the corridor. Additionally, the next improvement the City will seek along Route 740 will extend it from its interchange at U.S. 63 east to Interstate 70 at the St. Charles Road exit.
