Thanks for those pictures. When I lived in Houston (early 1980's,) I would drive 610 a lot.  It always amazed me how traffic flow would include a cluster of 30 vehicles or so about 1/3 of a mile in front of me, and the same behind me. I would be all alone in the middle of these clusters driving about 65 or so, and this happened over and over again.

I also had a friend who was paid reasonably well to spend graveyard shifts sitting in his car counting the traffic near US 59 and what later became Beltway 8. The counts were to determine the feasibility of the proposed Hardy Toll Road, which was the first of many toll roads to come in the metro area.
3 million miles and counting

I checked them all out.  The ones on the Fort Bend were impressive.  The next time I go to Houston it will not be to land or take off, as it was the case last Fall.  I managed to get many Texarkana, Dallas, Shreveport, and Houma photos, but no Houston despite I arrived at Hobby and took off for home there.

I had little time in Houston, as it mainly was a driving hub for me.  I did get some night photos on I-45 while I was stuck in traffic as I could lean out the window and shoot without the glare and clouds of the windshield.

I also checked out your 610 and Alternate 90 pictures as well.  All impressive!
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.
