State Route 8

Alabama State Route 8 travels across the width of the state from I-20/59 at Cuba to the Georgia state line at Phenix City. All but the western 2.28 miles of the route is the unsigned counterpart of U.S. 80. The independent section of SR 8 in the town of Cuba links I-20/59 at Exit 1 with U.S. 11/80.

SR 8 begins at the diamond interchange with I-59/20 at the town of Cuba. I-59/20 cross the state line east from Meridian, Mississippi and continue northeast 70 miles to Tuscaloosa.

SR 8 links I-59/20 with parallel U.S. 11/80 at Cuba. U.S. 80 overtakes the four lane highway from SR 8 east to Demopolis, Selma and Montgomery.
