Escambia County Road 196

Traveling east-west between CR 99 at Barrineau Park and CR 95A near Quintette, County Road 196 lines the middle part of Escambia County. The 7.59 mile route gained more significance with the paved connection of Duck Place Road west from the Perdido River to County Road 112 (Old Pensacola Road) in Baldwin County, Alabama. The bridge over the Perdido is the lone connection between the two states from Interstate 10 north to U.S. 31.
A 1.01 mile long State Road 196 exists along Bayfront Parkway and East Main Street in the city of Pensacola to the south.

Barrineau Park Road intersects the south end of Escambia County Road 99 just east of the Perdido River at Barrineau Park. CR 99 heads north to Bay Springs and SR 97 near Walnut Hill.
