There are two sections of County Road 480 at the Nature Coast in Florida. The Citrus County segment consists of a 1.78 mile spur west from U.S. 19/98 to Chassahowitzka and 16.91 mile stretch from U.S. 98 east to U.S. 41 through Withlacoochee State Forest. The two roadways were severed from one another when CR 480 (Oak Park Boulevard) was redirected south to intersect U.S. 98 away from the junction with U.S. 19.

Hernando County Road 480 spurs east from U.S. 41 (Broad Street) in Brooksville to the Croom Tract of Withlacoochee State Forest. Following Croom Road, the county highway traverses ranch land east into the state forest, where the road becomes unpaved to its official end at Croom-Rital Road.
