Collier County Road 851 parallels U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) to the east between the city of Naples and CR 846 (Immokalee Road) at North Naples. Initially following the Gordon River to Naples Zoo at Caribbean Gardens, the arterial along Goodlette-Frank Road runs 9.0 miles north through heavily developed areas including Pine Ridge.
Goodlette-Frank Road was previously Florida Secondary Road 951A between U.S. 41 and Golden Gate Parkway (S-951), and a part of S-951 from Golden Gate Parkway north to Pine Ridge Road (S-31). S-851 was established in place of S-951 and S-951A between U.S. 41 (Tamiami Trail) and S-896 (Pine Ridge Road) by January 1976.
