State Road 70 - Oneco to Bradenton

The northern branch of SR 70 follows 15th Street E from 301 Boulevard E (CR 683) at Oneco to SR 64 (Manatee Avenue) in the city of Bradenton. Inventoried by the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) as Leg "A", the state road extends 3.03 miles north from the northwesterly turn of 301 Boulevard beyond 51st Avenue E. This segment of SR 70 does not directly connect with the main SR 70 alignment along 53rd Avenue across Oneco.
The 15th Street East (SR 70) at 26th Street East Intersection Improvements project cost $1.445 million and was completed in 2009. Further north, the intersection joining SR 70 (15th Street E) with Martin Luther King (9th Avenue) E in Bradenton was reconstructed into a roundabout between July 2018 and January 2019. The safety improvement project cost $2.1 million.1,2 All signage for SR 70 along 15th Street E was removed by Fall 2018.
