Traveling across the north side of Gainesville, SR 222 (NW/NE 39th Avenue) is a truck bypass between Interstate 75 and SR 24 at Gainesville Regional Airport (GNV) and SR 26 east to Orange Heights. The state road measures 14.17 miles in length, ending just west of the exchange with I-75 (Exit 390) as County Road 222. CR 222 extends NW 39th Avenue 2.7 miles west to CR 241 (NW 143rd Street).
