State Route 516 - Lake/Orange Expressway
A Central Florida Expressway Authority (CFX) project underway builds a 4.4 mile long toll road between U.S. 27 by Lake Louisa State Park in Lake County and SR 429 (Daniel Webster Western Beltway) at Horizon West in Orange County. Work is divided into three segments.
Segment 1 constructs the western 1.6 miles of the four lane expressway from an interchange with U.S. 27 by Lake Louisa State Park to Cook Road. Work starts in 2026 and is estimated for completion in 2029.
Segment 2 builds an additional 1.9 miles of the toll road from Cook Road to the Orange County line. Work scheduled from 2026 to 2029 includes constructing a diamond interchange with a southern extension of Lake County Road 455.
Segment 3 is the 0.9 mile section including the directional T interchange with SR 429 and a half dogbone interchange with an extension of Valencia Parkway south from Schofield Road. Construction got underway in May 2024 and is expected to run through early 2027.
