State Route 17 Connector - Bloomingdale

SR 17CO was designated in 2020 along the former southern extent of SR 17 between U.S. 80/SR 26 in the city of Bloomingdale to Interstate 16 at Exit 152. SR 17CO initially follows Bloomingdale Road along the previous route of SR 17 north 1.41 miles from the exchange with I-16. Replacing the route along Bloomingdale Road and Cherry Street north to U.S. 80/SR 26, the remainder of SR 17CO will take the Jimmy DeLoach Parkway Extension.
The Jimmy DeLoach Parkway Extension was a 2.73 mile long project running south from the parkway at U.S. 80/SR 17-26 to SR 17CO along Bloomingdale Road. The controlled access highway finally opened at the end of August 2022, following delays from October 2021, then May 2022.1
Little Neck Road parallels the Little Ogeechee River northwest from George Town to I-16/SR 17CO in Bloomingdale.
