State Route 372
The northern reaches of SR 372 overlap with SR Business 5 for 3.8 miles through the city of Ball Ground. The concurrent alignment includes a expressway spur linking Canton Road and the city of Nelson with SR 5 & 515 and the north end of Interstate 575.
North
SR 5 Business & 372 north conclude at an on-ramp to SR 5 & 515 (Appalachian Thruway) to the west of Nelson. SR 5 & 515 extend north from end of I-575 as an at-grade expressway to Jasper and Ellijay. There is no access to I-575 south from SR 5 Business & 372 north.

Angling southeast from SR 5 & 515, SR 5 Business & 372 bee line toward a half diamond interchange with Canton Road. Canton Road is the old alignment of SR 5 north into the rural city of Nelson.

All traffic on SR 5 Business & 372 south defaults onto the off-ramp for Canton Road. The two turn south to the city of Ball Ground.
