Interstate 30 West - Garland to Dallas

Interstate 30 enters the city of Mesquite ahead of the exchange with Northwest Drive near the Palos Verdes neighborhood.

Exit 58 leaves IH 30 west for Northwest Drive. Northwest Drive heads east to Belt Line Road and northwest to eventually enter the city of Dallas where it becomes Spur 244 west of SH 78.

Interchange sequence sign preceding Exit 57 for Galloway Avenue Exits 56C/B for IH 635 (Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway). The IH 30 frontage road system connects Exit 57 with Gus Thomasson Road beyond the LBJ Freeway.

Exit 57 departs IH 30 westbound at the Northwest Drive overpass for Galloway Avenue. Galloway Avenue travels south through Mesquite and north to La Prada Drive at the Dallas city line. Gus Thomasson Road heads northwest to Casa View and south to a retail area west of IH 635 and Town East Mall.

IH 30 advances a half mile west to the systems interchange (Exits 56C/B) with Interstate 635.

IH 635 follows Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway eight miles south to IH 20 at Balch Springs near the exchange with U.S. 175 (Hawn Freeway).

Exit 56C leaves IH 30 west for IH 635 (LBJ Freeway) south to IH 20 west through south Dallas. IH 635 originally overlapped with IH 20 west to IH 35W at Exit 467.

Continuing north from Mesquite, IH 635 (Lyndon B. Johnson Freeway) straddles the Garland and Dallas city line toward Richardson and Farmers Branch. The commuter freeway is one of the busiest in the Dallas area, especially within the vicinity of the Dallas Hi Five interchange (U.S. 75) and the Dallas North Tollway (DNT).

Interstate 635 extends 28 miles northwest to SH 121 Grapevine and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW).
