Business Loop I-35 - Alvarado
Representing a business loop off IH 35W, Business Loop I-35V travels 2.29 miles between Exits 24 and 26B off IH 35W in Johnson County. The route was established on October 25, 1990 in a mileage transfer from State Loop 392. The business loop follows old U.S. 81 through the city of Alvarado.
Left Exit 268 for Business Loop I-35 from IH 35W southbound permanently closed to traffic after 2011. There is no direct access to the route or acknowledgement of it southbound.
South
Business Loop I-35 to Alvarado formerly commenced at a wye interchange (Left Exit 26B) from IH 35W south. Exit 26A departs to the immediate right for the I-35W frontage road south to U.S. 67.

Since relocated south of the next commercial driveway, the first reassurance marker for the Business Loop referenced IH 35 instead of IH 35W. Former U.S. 81 branches southeast from IH 35W to intersect U.S. 67 ahead.

Business Loop I-35 combines with U.S. 67 Business south of U.S. 67. Forming a U-shaped route south to Downtown Alvarado, U.S. 67 Business follows Business Loop I-35, College Street east and Baugh Street north. U.S. 67 south meets IH 35W nearby en route to Cleburne.
