Interstate 820 East
Prior to the TEXpress reconstruction and expansion of IH 820 east of IH 35W, Exit 17B connected with North Beach Street. This ramp was removed. 10/19/03
Button copy overheads at the old off-ramp (Exit 17B) to North Beach Street. IH 820 is now eight lanes wide, with four toll lanes taking the place of the original roadways here. 10/19/03
A diamond interchange (Exit 18) joins Interstate 820 with Haltom Road at Exit 18. Haltom Road winds northward through the city of Haltom to the Fossil Springs community. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 narrowed below a Union Pacific Railroad overpass on the quarter mile approach to Exit with U.S. 377 (Denton Highway). 10/19/03
U.S. 377 follows an arterial route north from Haltom City to Wautauga, Keller and Roanoke and south through Haltom City to Belknap Street. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 eastbound at the original ramp departure for Exit 20B to Rufe Snow Road. Rufe Snow Road extends north from Richland Hills and SS 474 to meet the beltway at North Richland Hills. 10/19/03
The diamond interchange (Exit 21) connecting Interstate 820 with Holiday Lane in North Richland Hills was removed as part of the TEXpress revamp. 10/19/03
This confirming marker for IH 820 east stood just beyond the gore point for Holiday Lane. 10/19/03
Continuing southeast from the Holiday Lane underpass, this overhead preceded the three-wye interchange joining IH 820 east with SH 121 south & SH 183 west. 10/19/03
Texas 26 (Grapevine Highway) stems northeast from SH 183 (Baker Boulevard) along the North Richland Hills and Richland Hills city line to cross paths with IH 820 at FM 1938 (Davis Boulevard). North from FM 1938, SH 26 heads to Colleyville. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 turns south from the systems interchange with SH 121 & 183 (Airport Freeway) leading east through Hurst and Bedford to Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport (DFW). 10/19/03
The roadways for IH 820 here were partially repurposed for the TEXpress Toll lanes extending east to the SH 121/183 toll lanes. 10/19/03
Exit 23 departs from the curve taking IH 820 south onto SH 121/183 for the west side frontage road ahead of Glenview Drive / Pipeline Road. 10/19/03

Interstate 820 / Texas State Highway 121 South
IH 820 & SH 121-183 lower to grade level with ten overall lanes to a parclo interchange (Exit 24A) with Baker Boulevard west and SH 10 (Hurst Boulevard) east. SH 183 leaves the freeway for Baker Boulevard west through Richland Hills. SH 10 begins an 8.60 mile route east to Hurst and Euless. 10/19/03
SH 121 branches southwest from IH 820 at a wye interchange just beyond SH 10 / 183. Following the Airport Freeway, SH 121 travels 6.79 miles to IH 35W at Downtown Fort Worth. 10/19/03
A distributor roadway from SH 10 (Hurst Boulevard) west and SH 183 (Baker Boulevard) east partitions with ramps for both IH 820 south and SH 121 (Airport Freeway) south. 10/19/03
Reentering Fort Worth, IH 820 south meets Trinity Boulevard at a diamond interchange (Exit 25). Trinity Boulevard heads west to industrial parks and warehouses and east to the Lake of River Trails community. 10/19/03

Interstate 820 crosses the West Fork of the Trinity River ahead of the diamond interchange (Exit 26) with Randol Mill Road. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 travels with eight overall lanes on the half mile approach to IH 30 (East Freeway / Tom Landry Highway). 10/19/03
Exit 27 leaves IH 820 south just ahead of IH 30 for John T. White Road east and Bridge Street west. Bridge Street angles southwest to form the north side frontage road for the East Freeway while John T. White Road parallels IH 30 east by a mix of subdivisions and big box retail. 10/19/03
Back to back off-ramps part ways from the IH 820 southbound mainline for IH 30 west to Downtown Fort Worth and east to Dallas. IH 30 follows the old Dallas/Fort Worth Turnpike between IH 820 and Arcadia Park in western Dallas. 10/19/03
Bending westward from IH 30, IH 820 advances south between the Brentwood and Meadowbrook Estates communities to Exit 29 with Meadowbrook Drive. 10/19/03
The succeeding off-ramp from IH 820 south joins the frontage road ahead of Craig Street. A collector distributor roadway follows for SH 180 (Lancaster Avenue) and SS 303 (Rosedale Street). 10/19/03
Southbound at the partition with the c/d roadway for SH 180 and SS 303. SH 180 constitutes the original alignment of U.S. 80 from Downtown Fort Worth east to Arlington, Grand Prairie, Cockrell Hill and the city of Dallas. 10/19/03
Separate ramps connect the c/d roadway along IH 820 with SH 180 (Lancaster Avenue) at a three-quarter cloverleaf interchange. 10/19/03
A loop ramp links with SH 180 (Lancaster Avenue) east to Arlington directly as the c/d roadway progresses south to a slip ramp for SS 303 (Rosedale Street). Spur 303 parallels Lancaster Avenue east to become Pioneer Parkway through Arlington. 10/19/03
Traveling to the west of Lake Arlington, motorists along IH 820 south reach the off-ramp (Exit 30C) for Ramey Avenue. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 reduces to four overall lanes south from Ramey Avenue. Berry Street meanders across southeast Fort Worth to end at South Cravens Road just east of Exit 31. 10/19/03
A half diamond interchange joins Interstate 820 south with Wilbarger Street at Exit 32. Wilbarger Street spur east to the Wilkes Estates community and heads west to the Fair Havens neighborhood and U.S. 287 (MLK, Jr. Freeway). 10/19/03
Interstate 820 ascends over Wilbarger Street ahead of the brief merge with U.S. 287. U.S. 287 splits with IH 35W (North Freeway) at Downtown Fort Worth and follows the Martin Luther King, Jr. Freeway southeast seven miles to Exit 33. 10/19/03
IH 820 and U.S. 287 south converge at a three-wye interchange (Exit 33A) just west of Lake Arlington. U.S. 287 combines with the beltway south to IH 20 east. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 U.S. 287 South
The last mainline exit of Interstate 820 serves Sun Valley Drive and residential areas of southeastern Fort Worth. 10/19/03
Exit 33C departs the Fort Worth beltway for Sun Valley Drive as IH 820 & U.S. 287 south advance toward IH 20 (Exits 34A/B) by Kennedale. Sun Valley Drive travels a short distance between Marie Jones Road and Kay Drive. 10/19/03
Exit 442A departs from the forthcoming ramp linking IH 820 south with IH 20 west for U.S. 287 Business (Mansfield Highway) leading northwest along the Forest Hill and Fort Worth city line. 10/19/03
Interstate 820 concludes at the roadway partition between Interstate 20 west and Exit 34A (IH 20 east & U.S. 287 south). U.S. 287 overlaps with IH 20 east two miles to Arlington and a freeway southeast to Mansfield, Midlothian and Waxahachie. 10/19/03
Following the westbound on-ramp to IH 20, motorists meet the slip ramp (Exit 442A) for U.S. 287 Business (Mansfield Highway). Interstate 20 otherwise heads west through the city of Forest Hill to south Fort Worth. 10/19/03
