One mile ahead of the interchange joining MD 140 with Interstate 795 (Northwest Expressway). Gores Mill Road ties into MD 140 at the ensuing intersection north from Ivy Hill Road and Liberty Reservoir.

A second opportunity exists for MD 140 (Westminster Road) southbound drivers to access Interstate 795 at the Exit 9A off-ramp at MD 128 (Butler Road). Interests to MD 30 (Hanover Pike) northbound should use Butler Road north to bypass Reisterstown ahead. MD 30 ventures north two miles from Reisterstown to Woodensburg and 14 miles to Manchester on the 25 mile drive to Hanover, Pennsylvania.
