Loch Raven Boulevard's role as a through route depreciated with the closure of Memorial Stadium. Some signs still remain along the road from that time period that directed motorists to the various through routes leading out from the city. One such sign appears at Exeter Hall Avenue, referencing the connections with MD 45 (Greenmount Avenue) south to U.S. 1 or 29th Street west to I-83.
