Maryland Route 542 South
A pair of signalized intersections join Maryland 542 (Loch Raven Boulevard) southbound with Havenwood Road and Argonne Drive. Havenwood Road acts as a frontage road to Argonne Drive by Northwood Plaza. Argonne Drive meanders west to The Alameda and east to Hillen Road (unsigned Maryland 41) and Morgan State University. Loch Raven Boulevard South

East 33rd Street comprises a divided boulevard east to Hillen Road (unsigned MD 41) at Lake Montebello and west to Johns Hopkins University. The site of Memorial Stadium (original home of the Orioles and Colts) lies just west of Loch Raven Boulevard along 33rd Street. Photo taken 07/02/10.

Loch Raven Boulevard's role as a through route depreciated with the closure of Memorial Stadium. Some signs still remain along the road from that time period that directed motorists to the various through routes leading out from the city. One such sign appears at Exeter Hall Avenue, referencing the connections with MD 45 (Greenmount Avenue) south to U.S. 1 or 29th Street west to I-83. Photos taken 07/02/10.
