MD 896 (New London Road) nips the extreme northeastern corner of Cecil County between the Delaware and Maryland state lines as part of a multi state route northwest from Newark, Delaware to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The 0.21 mile section of New London Road intersects Little Egypt Road in Maryland, but is otherwise unposted as MD 896. The Maryland Department of Transportation (MDOT) recorded 7,711 vehicles per day (vpd) along MD 896 in 2016.
