Several segments of the Old Spanish Trail remain in place throughout Northwest Florida from Pensacola to Milton. A 5.2 mile segment east of Milton was repurposed into a multi use trail (Historic State Road 1). Two other sections with red brick roadways remain as residential streets within the vicinity of Marquis Basin off the Blackwater River.
