U.S. 183 expands to a four lane, commercial boulevard south along Vine Street into the city of Hayes. Underway in 2020/21, the Vine Street Corridor Project rebuilt U.S. 183 south from 43rd Street. Work reconfigured the exchange with I-70/U.S. 40 into a dogbone interchange.
