Virginia State Route 400

George Washington Memorial Parkway is designated State Route 90005 north 8.44 miles from SR 235 (Mount Vernon Highway) at Mt. Vernon to Washington Street (SR 400) at the Alexanderia city line. SR 400 extends 1.79 miles north from the parkway to 1st Street, where George Washington Parkway resumes.

With controlled access, George Washington Memorial Parkway parallels the Potomac River north into the city of Arlington from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport (DCA) to Rosslyn. The 15.09 mile northern section of SR 90005 reenters Fairfax County at McLean. George Washington Memorial Parkway concludes at Interstate 495 (Capital Beltway) south of the American Legion Bridge.
