The Sugarwood Toll Plaza was replaced with an All Electronic Tolling (AET) Gantry as part of the Veterans Expressway widening project underway between 2014-18. 07/03/15

The Veterans Expressway traverses an area of wetlands to the west of Rocky Creek, one mile north of Exit 8 with Wilsky Boulevard south. An overhead assembly replaced this ground level sign by 2015. 07/03/15

The Anderson Mainline Toll plaza was replaced by an an All Electronic Tolling (AET) Gantry by mid-2014. 07/03/15
Exit 8 consists of a loop ramp to Wilsky Boulevard from SR 589 south and a return loop ramp to northbound. The tree lined median here gave way for expansion of the Veterans Expressway. 07/03/15
The Veterans Expressway angles southeast from Wilsky Boulevard to the former Anderson Mainline Toll plaza. An inverted wye interchange tied into the toll road from parallel Anderson Road, giving the plaza its name. 07/03/15
Like the previous toll plaza, Sunpass traffic stayed to the left through a pair of converted toll booth lanes. 07/03/15
Southbound on-ramps joins SR 589 from Linebaugh Avenue east and an access road from Anderson Road. The next departure point for the toll road mainline is Exit 6A for Waters Avenue (Hillsborough Avenue). 07/03/15
Tolls for the second mainline plaza were $1.00 for passenger vehicles until June 24, 2012, when rates increased to $1.25. 07/03/15
