Interstate 65 Alabama - North


The interchange joining I-65 with U.S. 31 (Decatur Highway) between Birmingham and Fultondale was reconstructed as part of the project completing I-22. 10/20/12

The addition of c/d roadways along I-65 north from I-22 to U.S. 31 expanded the freeway to 12 overall lanes. 10/20/12

The original overpasses at the exchange (Exit 265B) linking U.S. 31 with I-65 were retained during work widening I-65. 10/20/12

I-64 continued three miles from Exit 264 to Fultondale and the trumpet interchange (Exit 266) with U.S. 31 (Decatur Highway). 11/04/09

Arkadelphia was replaced with Colony as the second control city for SR 91 during 2013 sign changes along Interstate 65. 11/04/09

Exit 299 departed I-65 north by this guide sign. SR 69 north joins I-65 north at Dodge City for a four-mile concurrency. 11/04/09

The half mile sign for Exit 308 and U.S. 278 at Cullman was knocked down by a tornado in April 2011. It was replaced by 2013 with a new assembly. 11/04/09
