Views of Interstate 95 along the Wilmington Viaduct and Adams Jackson Freeway through the city of Wilmington. Most photos taken on walks across the city on March 19, March 21, March 30, April 3 and April 9, 2004. Additional photos shot from visits to the city in 2001 and 2007.

A second on-ramp for I-95 north joins the freeway from Adams Street after Delaware Avenue (SR 52). Adams Street lowers to end at Brandywine Park ahead. 04/14/14

The southbound off-ramp (Exit 7B) for SR 52 (Delaware Avenue) north forms the beginning of Jackson Street. Construction of the Adams-Jackson Freeway displaced the portion of Jackson Street between Lovering and Gilpin Avenues. 04/14/14

Replaced Eagle signals at Jackson Street and Delaware Avenue. Left-hand turns are restricted here; motorists headed to SR 52 south are instead directed to use Exit 7B and 11th Street to Downtown. SR 52 north follows Pennsylvania Avenue toward Greenville. 04/14/14

An Interstate 95 south trailblazer directs motorists to remain on Jackson Street for the eventual on-ramp at Lancaster Avenue (SR 48 east). 04/14/14

Jackson Street south at Tenth Street. These pedestal signals were replaced with span wire supported Eagle Mark IV signals between 2001 and 2004. Additionally most of the trees to the left were cut down during the Interstate 95 reconstruction in 2003-04. 04/14/14

Ninth Street flows south from Cool Springs Park to Downtown, connecting with Adams Street and the Tenth Street on-ramp to I-95 north. 04/14/14

The city of Wilmington replaced all of the traffic signals along Jackson Street between Delaware Avenue (SR 52) and Lancaster Avenue (SR 48) in the early 2000s. A typical span wire assembly with Eagle Mark IV signals operate here at Sixth Street. 04/14/14
