A new stretch of freeway opened in northern Mississippi this month, and much to our surprise, it's signed as Interstate 69! Interstate 69 presently travels between Indianapolis, Indiana and Port Huron, Michigan. I was in Denver this weekend for the big IMTA map convention, and took a lot of photos of I-25, I-70, and I-225. I-25 and I-225 were under construction for many years as part of a rebuilding process called T-Rex. The project involved adding lanes, bridges, and two rail lines along the interstate corridors.
