For those of you who have blogs, what tools are you using and how do you find it best to maintain a blog? Using Blogger/Blogspot or some other free online service? Using your own subdomain (i.e., blog.millenniumhwy.net)? If the latter, how do you maintain it? Is that what WordPress is for?

Looking for options, as I've been encouraged to start a roads-related blog and not sure what the best and most efficient way to do it will be. I know Gribblenation uses Blogspot.
Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

We use WordPress for the AARoads blog. It has improved quite a bit in usability over the years.
