Just a silly diversion that has served as sheep for my counting:
US 15 ends at US 17 Alternate
US 17 Alternate ends at US 17
US 17 ends at US 522 (among others)
US 522 ends at US 15 (and US 11)
US 15 ends at US 17 Alternate...

There's also an order-two loop of US 64 and US 158. Any more?

CA-138 and CA-18 is a pretty perverse order-two example.

for an order-one example: in Norway, route 820 ends at itself.  these signs show all the roads as being "to 820", but it is actually route 820 the whole way around.

ME-3 and ME-102.

I had been hoping for ME-3 ending at itself, but alas it is not quite that interesting.

MN 27 and MN 28 end at each other, half a state apart from each other.

PQ 132 in the Gaspe Pennisula.

I know that I-37 and US 181 both have terminuses at each other in Corpus Christi, TX.   Both routes serve the same purpose and US 181 loops back around to end again at I-37.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

It should be mentioned that any road forming a complete loop, like I-465 in the Indy area, has no ends. Sure, there is a milepost zero, but that's an arbitrary spot rather than a real end.

OK, there are a bunch of 1 and 2. Any longer than 4?

Yeah, I realized that pretty quickly too.  I started looking at a map of Washington, and kept getting stuck at I-5.

is there one involving only interstate highways?  I cannot think of one offhand.

also, does US-101 really end at CA-60?  I thought it went just a bit further to end at I-5.

what's so unusual about it?  looks to me, on the map, like it runs from US-36 near Bird City north to Nebraska, where it turns into NE-61.

I know it's K-161. I was using uniform abbreviations for clarity.

I would have done the same thing in a long list of highways.  FWIW, K-161 takes me back to high school track meets...and not in a pleasant way.
