Well there are places where the sign is not parallel to the actual stop bar. There's one intersection here where the stop sign is around a corner before the intersection, a full 4 car lengths before the stop bar.

^^ Valid point. But, in this case, if you stopped past the stop sign you'd be in the road.

I know, I'm just thinking maybe the stop bar used to be at a different place and they added that sign when they changed it.

^^ Well, they've widened both Fulton Industrial Boulevard (SR 70) and Martin Luther King Jr. Drive (SR 139), where the two highways intersect. The Wendy's is on the corner of the intersection.
