I was driving one of my friends to another friend's house for a college graduation party and we saw a DeLorean (like the one in the Back to the Future films) driving in the opposite direction.  I was so happy and excited.  It's very hard to find a DeLorean these days.

I accept and respect your identity as long as it's not dumb shit like "identifying as a vaccinated attack helicopter".

I saw a Tesla for the first time today.  It had manufacturer plates.  Are they available for the general public to purchase yet?

Referring to the Model S or the Roadster?

Or the Model X if they're testing that...

In other words, 2 door, 4 door, or crossover?

Back in September I was in Richmond's Carytown shopping district and returned to my car to see this Nissan GT-R parked next to me.

I'd seen one before, on the Capital Beltway, but this was the first time I'd been this close to one.

Olive Garden must be stopped.  I must stop them.

Don't @ me. Seriously.

I've seen a Studebaker.
Probably about as many times as I've seen a Delorean.

A friend from church owns a Maserati.

I drive a Dodge.

KEK Inc.

My school has an exotic car show every spring.  We also had lambos in our wind tunnel for a while.
Take the road less traveled.

I saw a '67-'68 Mustang coupe yesterday, parked in a parking lot on a snowy day.  No way would I take a RWD classic like that out on a day like that.

two-door.

I'm kinda dismayed that they're jumping on the SUV bandwagon.

I saw a DeSoto the other day.  couldn't tell ya which type, other than that it had '56-62 style California plates, and the word DESOTO was spelled out above the grille in very widely spaced, tall narrow letters.

1961?

It couldn't have been a 1962 model because 1961 was the final year of the DeSoto.  The '61s get a bad rap from car enthusiasts, but I think they're beautiful.  Then again, I think virtually all cars with tailfins are beautiful.  The canted headlights are a bizarre bonus.

Everyone is jumping on the SUV bandwagon.  Porsche jumped the shark with their Cayenne, and now they produce a 4 door sedan, the Panamera.  They went from being a sports car company to just another car company.  Some of their Cayennes aren't even that quick.

I emailed a photo to your gmail account from my phone, as I am too lazy to upload it.  in any case, it had black (1963-69) plates which I had misremembered.

There is a Delorean in the metro Baton Rouge area that has a "Mister Fusion" unit on it. :-) I've seen it in a couple of parades and once on the road.

I recently spotted a few Infinitis in the Netherlands, how common are those in the U.S.? It's the luxury brand of Nissan, much like Lexus is a luxury brand of Toyota.

On US 8 in California?

Christmas eve 2008, I had a Lotus pass me doing a good 110 on the Santa Ana SB near Dizzyland.  I got a real good look since I was doing 95 in my Fleetwood Brougham.

here, they are very common.

I once spotted an Opel in the US - or, at least, something with Opel badging.  I have no idea what it really was, since as far as I know, Opels have not been certified for the US market.

Strangely, they did built a 1962 DeSoto Diplomat (a rebadged Dodge model) in South Africa http://www.flickr.com/photos/45904802@N08/5850635211/
and there was once some plans for a 1962 DeSoto before they plugged off

My parents owned an Opel station wagon back around 1980 or so.  That was in Illinois.

Quote from: wikipediaOpel cars appeared under their own name in the U.S. from 1958 to 1975, when they were sold through Buick dealers as captive imports. The best-selling Opel models in the U.S. were the 1964 to 1972 Opel Kadett, the 1971 to 1975 Opel Manta, and the now-classic 1968 to 1973 Opel GT.

I've seen a few Opel Corsas (think of an uglier Aveo), a Volkswagen Gol (kind of a stubby version of a Jetta), and two Nissan Micras (smaller, but not as ugly as the 1st-gen Versa). This was near the Brownsville, Texas area...so they all had Mexican plates, naturally.

The Saturn L200, Saturn Astra, and the Cadillac Catera were Opels (GM owns them). The present-day Buick  Encore is an Opel, so we've come full circle.
