Inspired by the nascent discussion in Unique/Odd/Etc.

In downtown Panguitch UT, southbound US 89 makes a 90-degree left turn at a four-way stop, with UT 143 continuing ahead and up to Cedar Breaks National Monument. About two miles beyond the intersection, a variant of this sign has been posted since at least 2001:



Which leads to the question: What other signs tell you where you are not?

But how about signs that specifically say that you are NOT on/in/at somewhere?

Exit 127 from I-94 (MI) at Concord Rd. used to have a black on yellow rectangular sign that said this was not US-127.  I don't know if that still exists.

In the spirit of the MD 68/I-68 example, this sign on US 11-15 in Liverpool, PA (between Harrisburg and Selinsgrove) warns you that PA 17 is not NY 17–in case you thought that you inexplicably made it all the way through Pennsylvania in two hours less than normal.

On CT 8, just north of the CT 20 intersection, a sign reminds you that "MASS" US 20 is ahead (about 23 miles):

Yes, but it is too good to not make sure people see who just arrived.  It has to be by far the oldest such example.  (Several examples above are the near-miss that the OP described of duplicate route number confusion being addressed, not an outright NOT like he asked for--so maybe it helps to remind what the OP was asking about.)

There's also the "TEXAS 105 Conroe 10 miles" sign on I-10 before FM 105 in Vidor, but that's a bit of a stretch for this theme.

Though I don't have a photo, I recall signs on US 169 south of Milaca, MN from the late 1980s that proclaimed "US 169 is NOT an Interstate, Speed Limit 55" or something along those lines.

We need signs here in Florida to tell tourists that they are not heading to I-4 when they are heading EB on FL 528.  Too many motorists are heading away from the highway do to modern ignorance of what is now the norm and pass by the $2.25 toll plaza asking if they are heading for the interstate.

We also need other road signs at ORT lanes on all toll roads that say not to listen to your GPS when it has been instructing motorists to go in those lanes over the cash lanes every time!

I drove past that sign on a Sunday last month.  That has to be the drive from hell for a trucker during the summer time with the weekend mountain onslaught.  While I-17 doesn't have that fancy pants sign it has a similar problem with those downhill grades from Sunset Point to Black Canyon city which turns into a nightmare every Sunday afternoon.

There should be a sign on Delaware Route 1 for southbound drivers coming on from I-95 saying "THIS IS NOT US ROUTE 1". U.S. Route 1 completely bypasses Delaware and you would basically have to exit off I-95 at DE-896 and take that all the way into Pennsylvania to reach U.S. 1 from there.

That almost looks like the New York Route is 17 miles from the sign, because of the real mileage sign posted just below it.
