Interesting.  Maybe they closed it to build our bypass.

Just as a heads up, a new section of I-295 in Fayetteville, NC just opened to traffic today. The new section runs from US-401/Ramsey Street to Bragg Boulevard. Based on the pic in the following link, it is fully signed as I-295. The old existing section from US-401/Ramsey Street to the I-95/US-13 interchange will remain as NC-295/Future I-295 until two substandard bridges are widened and the I-95/US-13 interchange upgraded.

Looks like someone has already changed a bunch of segments on the mainline from "started" to "completed", pending Google's approval.  Nothing more I can do for that high of a priority road.

I did approve some ramps (and followed by some deletions of some really crappy user edits that weren't actually connected to anything.  I'll keep looking to see what else I can clean up without Google's involvement.

I got McArthur Road split to show separate northbound and southbound sides.   There is a lot of crap that needs to be cleaned up in this area but limited to what can be done while edits are pending Google approval.

Announced last Friday.

https://tn.gov/tdot/news/44772

QuoteNASHVILLE — The Tennessee Department of Transportation has received approval from the Federal Highway Administration to designate State Route 840 as Interstate 840. The change was requested to encourage more economic growth along the corridor and more traffic diversion around Middle Tennessee's urban core.

TDOT will begin installing I-840 signage next week, and expects the work to be complete late this year.

Yes I saw that and already tried (and failed) to submit the edit yesterday.  I did a "report this" instead.  No idea how long it will be until Google notices.

Mapmaker is buggy at the moment and numbered highway edits are next to impossible to submit right now.

Since the above is a major change I escalated the request directly to Google.   We will see what happens.

I see somebody re-added the IN-912 Cline Ave bridge, even though it hasn't been in existence for 7 years.  Sure, they are planning on replacing it, but they haven't even started constructing it yet (they are working on the offices first for the 'toll' bridge).  At least you can't route over it, but still, it shouldn't be shown on the map.

This one's rather minor - for some reason there's an orphaned piece of Tuckernuck Drive north of US 250. Despite the signage at US 250, the piece of shopping center between US 250 and the orphaned piece should also be part of Tuckernuck Drive.

Someone had marked it as a "parking lot" segment which should never be done for named streets.   Fixed it.

It's marked as "closed for maintenance".   I submitted an edit to change to "started" which would make is disappear on the map.   Pending Google moderation.

Pretty hard to be "closed for maintenance" when the bridge was completely torn down for 6 some years and the new alignment might be completely different. lol.

Looks like I was mistaken about the road's designation. Recent photos taken of the new segment confirms that, like the old section from US-401/Ramsey Street to I-95/US-13 interchange, it is actually signed as NC-295, not I-295.

The I-295 sign shown in NCDOT's photo was just used as a prop for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. The I-295 sign is no longer there.

I see that the map now shows the new I 840 labels.

While looking at the new I-840 labeling, I noticed someone has jumped the gun and labeled the US 51 corridor in TN between Memphis and Dyersburg as I-69, while the section in KY between I-24 and Fulton has no labeling.  BTW, isn't the highway between I-40 and US 51 supposed to just be TN 385 for now (instead of I-269)?

I submitted some edits to remove parts of the I-69 labels, although I wasn't able to get 100% due to other pending edits.  What I did so far is pending google approval.  Likely I'll need to go back for another round of edits later assuming (big assumption) these get approved.

I don't know if it is possible for US leads to make edits in Canada...maybe someone can help me?

https://goo.gl/maps/QjPSeZVYxAT2

Also, the loops of the Parclo's are done incorrectly (should be more gradual and not enter 45 degrees into the freeway). There is Streetview showing the alignment. The road west of Campbell Drive (to Scheel Drive) should be marked freeway, and should be 417 (not 17).

Every time I try to do it myself, it either gets denied or ignored.  :-(

If it's not possible to do, I'll report it to Google directly.

"Broadway Avenue" in Everett, Washington should actually read "Broadway".

The city dropped the Avenue decades ago.

For anything outside the USA the USA RLs just have normal user edit powers, so nothing special.  There doesn't appear to be current sat images for the link that you gave, so it may be best to wait on cleanup until images are updated.

Fixed.  I see in the feature history that it was just Broadway at one point, but unable to see when/who added the Avenue.  Might take a bit of time before it shows up on the map.

I didn't think you guys could do it since you're regional mods, which makes sense. The last satellite coverage of that area was 2010, so hopefully some new one comes out soon. Thanks for looking into it though.
