Can the elements be unusual because of their obnoxious size?  Look at this arrow...

It's not quite love but I would imagine it counts.  :sombrero:

It might have counted yesterday... ;-) (By the way, interesting that the love-related Challenge was posted on February 13th, yet the one on Valentine's Day is decidedly un-romantic!)

–Aw, what the heck: by unilateral decree, I hereby announce that the February 13, 2017 Challenge remains open throughout the day on February 14th (in addition to the Challenge duly posted for that date).

(if I lived closer, I would have gone for an actual photo...I try not to use GSV if I don't have to, but since I used to live up here, I decided I'd throw it up here)

Is "FUTURE" all that common? Usually those words are contained inside the shield, right?

There are Future I-86 shields in New York, but they're generally on a green background.

It's close enough to February 15th for these intents and purposes, so here's its challenge:

There's about an hour left of the 14th for me, so here's a picture I immediately thought of from Steve's NY 5 Buffalo-Little Falls page:

The BGS has been replaced, but it still uses the word "ALL".

Sorry, only one Challenge per calendar day, according to your local time. (Notwithstanding we already had two active Challenges for the 14th, due to a Special Unilateral Decree.) :-)

Good idea, though; definitely keep that one in the pipeline for a future date!

That picture in the Take-It-Yourself challenge thread was actually partly the inspiration for this challenge, so it totally counts :D

I have a bunch of these but don't feel like digging through all of them, so I will post my most recent photo now and maybe will search for more later. I was actually thinking about posting a separate game based on this theme.

Indiana does KY 79 (verified by the InDOT sticker on the back of another KY 79 sign at this intersection that looks exactly the same.

This would be a good thread for someone to post pictures of the first exit for I-84 in New York (US 6/NJ 23) with all the various interpretations of the New Jersey marker.

Here's another one near a school, this time in Des Moines. Just to be clear, since the picture doesn't exactly show it, the block of Geil Ave between SW 14th and 15th Sts is one-way (westbound) during those hours. A left turn here would be going east.

I figured I'd do this one too just for fun.  Here's NY 34 and PA 199 along I-86/NY 17.  As an added bonus, I picked the one BGS for the interchange that's actually in PA, but made by NYSDOT.

Rats, I had two specific examples for the Feb. 15th Challenge and I didn't even get the chance to post them! (And yeah, the 15th's Challenge was the part time one-way signs, so save all those neighboring-state shields for the next time that comes around.) Anyway, here's today's:

Logan Airport (BOS) post-Big-Dig (this new ramp layout totally freaked out my mother (who used to work as a stewardess for American Airlines back in the late 50s & flew in & out of Logan) to a point where she avoids driving to/from the airport like the plague for over a decade):
