Sorry, I often forget that the "N" rule only applies to the street sign name game. I think the OP should add "N" to the list of special characters, since it's more common than "A".

No. Then there will be too many special letters (A, N, X, Y, and Z, with E likely coming soon). "A" should never have been an exception to begin with.
