Ah, but you've missed the long-awaited opportunity to use a state welcome sign in this Challenge. ;-)

Ahhh I finally figured out what you meant by this!  But there's another state toward the end of the alphabet that contains the name of another state.

QuoteFebruary 1, 2018:  It's 2-1.  Highway blackjack.  Post the highway numbered 1 through 10, that is closest to the center of the city where you live.  Whichever group of people gets closest to 21 without exceeding it wins!

In other words, think about it this way:
-Focus the map inside your head to the center of the city where you live
-Of all the routes numbered 1 thru 10 (inclusive), find the one closest to that city center.
-Post that route, no matter what it is.  This makes the number random and not a product of player choice.
-Add the numbers of consecutive posts until you get 21 or more.  When a total of 21 or greater is reached, start the counter back at zero.

Numbered routes only.  No ordinal numbered streets or anything.  May include county routes.

Crest Hill, IL has IL-7.

Lowest number is 22 where I live.

Lowest number in my city/town is above 10, but this one is still the closest, although it never enters the city/town itself.

7+3=10

10s are more common in actual blackjack (making 10 a good number to have, as it can easily become 20), but not in this game...

Then look for the route 1-10 that's closest.  Of all the routes 1-10 which is closest to where you live?

So if someone in Missouri or Wisconsin lived off of Route A, could they count that as 1 or 11? :D

Sounds like you've got the idea. :-) Yes, there is another chance for this (albeit a rather more obvious one).

Entering Missouri on I-72/US 36 WB.

I don't understand.  Louisiana was supposed to be the next state, and you correctly indicated the next state.  But then you ignored them both and showed a Missouri welcome sign (which is against the rules anyway).

I, too, was confused in a similar fashion at first, because I first saw the Missouri Welcome Sign, but then I quickly also noticed the BGS right behind it, which was a correct entry to the challenge.  :D

It's on the southern edge of the city but it's the only one in Lawrence that qualifies.

February 2nd Challenge ---> Post pictures of roads or highways as they traverse rolling hills - mountains are not included for this challenge - only rolling hills and Piedmont:

I got the idea for this challenge when I went on a roadtrip to Charleston, South Carolina (from here in Dalton, Georgia) in June 2017, and most of the way it was beautiful rolling hills, all the way to on I-26 halfway between Columbia, SC and I-95. While I've had the idea in my head for that long, I have never made it into a challenge yet until just now. So here are some pleasant views of some roads traversing rolling hills and piedmont:

This is on Interstate 20 Eastbound, just west of Augusta, Georgia:

This is on Interstate 20 Eastbound halfway between Augusta, GA and Columbia, SC:

This is on the newly widened Interstate 26 just southeast of Columbia, South Carolina, heading Eastbound:
