The Ş→s is allowed. There was discussion earlier about a possible ß ending the game, and it was decided to use the closest approximation to that letter (transliteration, not closest look-alike). I can't find it, though, because of the search feature's "each word must contain two or more characters" rule prohibiting me from searching this thread for a ß.
