DeKalb County Road 1928, as of this morning:

The sign looks less ugly, but just as generic. Unlike Street View, it was located on the opposite side of the street.
Is this the first time that someone went out of their way to continue this challenge?

Second. The other was also for a Cullman County 4-digit number.

Not having bothered to search the Texas bikers, I see FM-1930 has a grade-separated interchange with US-281 on the south side of Alice.

I have friends who will likely be driving through that interchange in about two months or thereabouts, so......   :-D

Speed limit 70 on a barely paved road?
My username has been outdated since August 2023 but I'm too lazy to change it

There have been 70-mph FM roads in Texas ever since the federal speed limits were lifted in the '90s.

It's been an honor to find what seems to be the only 1928-numbered sign in existence. :-P

De Kalb County has a number of 19xx-routes and 90xx-routes that are mere dirt or gravel driveways that must link a few residences together; most of the signs do not bear the county name, so they're probably just there for emergency service wayfinding purposes.

Government would be tolerable if not for politicians and bureaucrats.

bmcdonau with 1939 and an interesting background

I have two 1940 signs, oddly. The only other four-digit route which I have more than one photo of is 1087.

I think you have leave in the "s" in https: or it won't display. Or maybe your visit to the website (Smugmug) doesn't require a secured connection.

Is this happening to anyone else, or just my connection?

kphoger

The image displays for me.  I'm currently visiting this site on https and, when I go to the link the picture is from, my browser auto-redirects me to https.

^ that's weird, now it shows for me too. I don't think he ninja-edited his post, because there's no edit timestamp.

Must be on my end.

Ken Phenix again with FM 1943.  Notice the sign in background: To Co Rd 4475.
