whose photo is that of the 7/49E/82 gantry?  Better than my picture that we used for the shield gallery.

speaking of 10 ... and Mississippi ... here's a brand new '61 spec I-10 shield they just put up!

after years of terrible no-state-name shields, looks like Miss is definitely getting their act together.

After 66 comes 77- this is a pretty old reassurance shield- note the small Idaho

More 66 action.

Ah, I remember that one well: it (or a similar one) was along I-244 (later 270).

And Jake: KY US 66? WTF?????

Well, following that same logic, next is 88

at some point, a sign collector acquired about 100 Kentucky blanks and anyone who wanted several had several ... some left theirs blank (for example, me), while others decided to play "fill in the blank".

in any case, after 88 comes 99.

OK 22/48 shields which somehow ended up on the back of a stop sign...

that is either a colossal stop sign, or a pair of 18x18 shields.

from the looks of it, I am going with colossal stop sign.

haven't had 11 yet ... here's one from Mississippi

Oklahoma is notorious for oversized STOP's.

The 11 sine looks like it may be Hattiesburg. I was checking out the railroad back in March, but the blue sine is no longer there.

But to follow up, here's 12
