For US 69, it gets roasted for not ending at I-90 in Albert Lea, MN.

What I can't find an answer to is in the US 16 days if US 69 and MN 13 ended at the same intersection, or if 13 took a jog on 16 to end at US 65. The first time that piece of road is labeled conclusively is on the 1975 Minnesota map, which has MN 13 now on it. That makes me inclined to think 13 ended at the junction with 69 but I would need a Freeborn County map to verify conclusively.

Doing some investigating: for a brief period in the early 1970s, US 16 was moved onto I-90 from Albert Lea east, but was rerouted onto MN 13 back to its original alignment at the US 69/MN 13 intersection to bypass a piece of 90 that wasn't completed yet. However, even on that map the former section of 16 that today carries MN 13 between 69 and 65 is not labeled. My theory is they just extended 13 because it already existed north of 16, and no AASHTO approval was needed to extend it to US 65.

This map from 1965 shows only US 16 between 13/69 and US 65: http://www.historicmapworks.com/Map/US/212638/Albert+Lea+Township/Freeborn+County+1965/Minnesota/

KS asked for US 73 to be routed along State St with US 24/US 40 and they were denied. Apparently they went ahead with it anyway because by 2008 they asked for it to be routed south with US 24/US 40 in lieu of east on State St. when US 24/US 40 was taken off State St. in KCK.

State Avenue, and although US-73 ran along State with US 24/40 for a bit, 73 ended at I-435 while the other two continued east to downtown KCK.

US 87 doesn't even get mentioned at all in NM.

Assume you meant 85 - US 87 is signed along the whole stretch from Raton to the Texas line, and it's completely independent south of Clayton where US 64 jumps off with 56/412.

Or CO for unsigned 87.
