I think with this game borrowing rules from the addition game, using US 2 twice is disallowed.  US 5 and Alt US 5 are good, as different routes.

I thought I remembered someone doing it before, meaning I was just following precedent. However, I'm not seeing it. You seem to be right, as implied by reply #9 by the OP on the first page.

Reply #42 explicitly allows it, despite #9 implying that it isn't. Since I deleted my post, I'm posting it again below.
