I see PennDOT doesn't want people to know that I-78 Exit 15 leads to Grimes. Both directions have no at exit guides and only the half mile guide exists as sole guides. EB has no exit tab on top, but still has an Old Exit 4 indicator beneath the sign.

In addition 2022 GSV shows EB exit for Midway has no 1/2 mile exit tab either.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

What is this? A new welcome sign?! Why did PennDOT butcher the old "Pursue your happiness" sign and replace it with this trash?!  :banghead:

Administrations change, so do tourism campaigns. I actually thought this could make a decent license plate base, if they ever decide to get away from the 25-year old "Family of Plates" concept...

Yes, Bob Casey had "America Starts Here" (with a catchy imo gospel-influenced jingle that went something like

America (America) America starts here
(in Pennsylvane-yuh) good times every time of year
America, America starrrrts heeerrrrre[i/] )

Unforturnately I can't find it on YT

When Tom Ridge took over, PA went sloganless for his first year before settling on "Pennsylvania Memories Last a Lifetime", which like "Pursue Your Happiness" imo had some "meh" to it.

snowc, we'll have to agree to disagree about "PYH", speaking of which, I was in the Boothwyn/Linwood/Marcus Hook area for old time's sake this past Sat. morning (7/13).  I entered PA from DE via 95 and they still had the PYH sign in place.  Let us know when the new sign replaces it where 95 enters PA from DE.

I actually liked the older blue and yellow tags. Here in NC, its like simplistic. We have a blue on white tag rather than our neighbors in VA or SC.

It looks like some of the mile markers on the US 1 bypass in Chester County are being replaced, some with decimals, and some just copies of the old fraction ones. Looks like on I-81 in NEPA as well.

On that we *do* agree.  I vaguely remember and miss the blue/gold PA tags that did its best to frame the plate with an outline of a Pennsylvania map.

I guess PA wants to imitate Massachusetts's tags.

Looks like the accompanying pic shows the new sign being erected when US 15 enters PA from MD.

Does anyone happen to know why US 222 goes through Quarryville instead of just going straight along PA 272?  It seems like an odd bend in the route.

I have no idea, but I feel similar about US 62 going through Sandy Lake while being bypassed by PA 965.

Or IN SR 63 being a better quality road than US 41 north of Terre Haute, IN. :sombrero:

agreed, and appear to be in the same style of those on I-295 (NJ) in the MM ~28-31 area.
