Also helps that his offensive line is not a bunch of turnstiles.

Caleb might have the talent but that line is bad.

Caleb played a very good game yesterday. Get him 2 good offensive linemen and that offense will be off the charts.

Neither does two or three, and Flynn certainly had more than one good game in his career. But I don't think anybody is brushing Jayden Daniels off as a guy that "just had three good games".

I hate that these Monday night doubleheaders are growing on me. I vote the league gets rid of Thursday games in favor of a Monday doubleheader every week.

Caleb Williams' problems are largely because he plays behind a terrible offensive line.

Does Jayden Daniels have a chance to challenge Caleb Williams for Rookie of the Year?

Right now it's a toss up between Daniels and Nabers.

Max Rockatansky

Jared Goff was 18 of 18 tonight for 292 yards.  Apparently that was the most pass yards ever in an NFL game by a QB that didn't have an incompletion.

My god though, Terrion Arnold has looked terrible this year.  He keeps getting tagged with really bad penalties.  I know rookie corners usually have a rough time, but this is going to cost the Lions eventually.

jgb191

For the first time in years, a home team emerged victorious between the Texans and Jaguars when the Texans won on 24-20 on Sunday.  The last time a home team won was back on September 12, 2021, back when David Culley was our head coach and Deshaun Watson was still technically on our team's payroll back then (but obvious did not play).  Since then, six straight road victories followed, which was dangerously close to continuing to a seventh if not for a last-minute TD pass by CJ.

The Ghostbuster

Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers has made history becoming the 9th quarterback in NFL history to pass for 60,000 career passing yards. Although no one will likely ever eclipse Tom Brady's 89,214 career passing yards.

The Ghostbuster

In a second record of the day, Ravens running back Derrick Henry has become the 27th player to get 100 career touchdowns (96 rushing, 4 receiving).

The Ghostbuster

Derrick Henry has a second record of the day: he has eclipsed 10,000 yards rushing in his career, which is the most among active running backs. However, he'll need to rush for another 8,000-some yards to surpass Emmitt Smith, who has the record with 18,355 career rushing yards. Henry will also need 76 more career touchdowns to surpass Smith for second place for most touchdowns in a career (Jerry Rice has the career touchdown record with 208 touchdowns: 197 receiving, 10 rushing, 1 fumble recovery).

Quote from: jlam on August 15, 2024, 09:55:09 AMI'm very tempted to fork the Vikings right now, but I'll wait to see what they do at quarterback. I'll probably find eight teams more deserving of a fork.
No you can fork the Vikings. The division is so much better than them. Even the Bears have a legit shot at a playoff spot.
Packers and Lions will fight for the division crown. Each likely 12-5. Bears I can see being 10-7 or 9-8. Vikings will be lucky to be 4-13.

I'll take that bet for the over of 4.5.

Still willing to take the bet!
