This sign on New Jersey's Palisades Interstate Parkway is odd.  The text is unusual as well as outdated. The guide was installed in 1987 after the MUTCD eliminated text of route numbers.

Plus the spacing between 9 and W. It's 9W and not 9 W.  Plus the use of RT over US is worth mentioning. Yes the Northeast calls all designations routes and not I, US, or SR so it would seem the norm, but it's not normal highway signing
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

On the left side of this sign, there is a very ugly sign that says TO I-440. This is at a McDonald's Parking Lot on Lake Boone Trail. This was taken pre COVID and before THIS particular McDonalds got demolished and rebuilt 4 years later.

This is definitely a private advertisement by the town or by the owners of travel businesses in the town.  But it does display an important message that probably should be indicated on official DOT road signs.  I think it is critical knowledge if there is more than 30 miles to the next gasoline station.  There may be other factors for determining importance for food and lodging as well.

There are UDOT-issued signs aplenty on either side of the I-70 service "desert" indicating no services (right off the exits) for 105 Miles.  The only difference is that Green River does not have private billboards because US-6/191 turns off and heads to Price one exit further and the service gap is waaay shorter.

At a glance, it looks like it's referring to an I-70 business route. They should have sprung for some red and blue coloring and created a proper Interstate shield.

Now we need a meet in Omaha so we can report each other for being stinky.

That ODOR sign... what is the context anyway?   What odors?  Why are they important enough to report them?
