Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

MUST EXIT instead of the usual EXIT ONLY.
"Must Exit" is arguably a better warning message than "Exit Only".

But also interesting use of exit messaging on a non-freeway facility...

On the back of a new bridge-mounted BGS near where I work.

I'm intrigued; what do you suppose would show on a packing list?

Rather early in the season for octagonal signage to bear fruit.

MUST EXIT instead of the usual EXIT ONLY.
I remember being there. That was where I went to a Wawa for the first time in my life. My mother used to swear by them, thinking they were the greatest places to travel in the universe. She had to get dental work done in New Jersey, with my father driving her there, and when they were done, they always went to a Wawa nearby. Later when we moved to Florida, she used to travel up north with a longtime friend of hers and they always used to stop at one before reaching the Empire State.

Unusual School Zone sign.
Looks like some old pre-1971 relic that was being neglected.

Completely unenforceable. Also, worthy of the Actual Worst of Road Signs.

US 13 in the Delmarva Peninsula always seemed to have the best road signs and road configurations. It's like the DOT's of all three states actually cared about drivers. And then to top it all off, you get the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel at the end.

And to be honest, I still miss the days when US 301 was in an overlap with US 13 and 40. I'm only sorry they never got the chance to extend it back to US 1 in Pennsylvania.

Why is this in this thread?
Because you showed a sign from US 13 in Delaware and it reminded me of this.

As for the "Must Exit" sign you posted before, I keep thinking I saw signs like this elsewhere, but I can't think of where.

Are you even legally required to stop at that?

Despite it not being standard, my bet is if you ignored it and got in an accident that you'd be found liable anyway.

I like Chick Fil A Stop signs with their neat font the best.

I don't eat at them but seen them from adjacent businesses. The Wawa on US 27 in Davenport and the Chase on US 98 in Lakeland are both in the plaza with one.  To me Chick Fil A is too expensive despite everyone clogging their drive through windows like it's the best chicken around, I find it impossible to eat there due to high prices.  This was before COVID raised prices on everything they were too high already.

The landlord could probably put a clause about it into the lease, too.

The municipality/county hasthe plans that note the locations of stop intersections, and there should be something in there stating they should be confirming to the MUTCD.

There's an off-chance that someone can argue this is a non-controlled intersection and that whoever is there first has the right of way, but they'll probably need to appeal original tickets and decisions to get to a court level that'll truly consider the issue.
