Has anyone clinched the entire length of a highway by walking along it?

For me I have clinched the Elkton section of MD 7, MD 268, MD 781, NJ 91, NJ 171, and NJ 172 by walking along it. I have also clinched DE 279 and MD 316 by walking and by vehicle.

Not entirely walking, but I completed VA-184 in September by walking the westernmost portion in Cape Charles. The same thing applies to the northernmost portion of MD-528 in Ocean City.

I searched "walking" and did not find this specific thread, but similar ideas.

Anyway the only TM route I know I have fully walk-clinched is MD 45 BYP in Towson.  I have walked clinched some VA secondaries unsurprisingly by walking considering that I lived in a subdivision in a county as a child.

Yes we did, and you remember it because you're the one who started the thread.

Ah, that would make sense why it triggered my memory then.

Hmmm. Yes, I suppose that could be considered a valid kind of road geekery...

wanderer2575

I walked the entire 1,000-foot length of OH-578 in Grand Rapids before it was redesignated as the end of the southern extension of OH-295.

dgolub

Yes.  Westchester County (NY) has a whole batch of really short county routes that are near train stations, and I clinched a whole batch of them on foot before I had a car.  Also, NJ 64, NJ 62, and probably a few others in New Jersey.

CNGL-Leudimin

There was a provincial road I first did on foot which I've since done on a car.

Not really clinched, but my claim of the lowest number I have never been on being 29 involves having done a short section of a 28 on foot.

Please note that I may mention "invalid" FM channels, i.e. ending in an even number or down to 87.5. These are valid in Europe.

Not walking, but I've clinched VA 400 by bike.  Probably a handful of others too but it was long ago.

I'd have to make a TM user to check, but I should have over 500 unique miles of roads mapped on TM travelled by foot.

Most notable clinch is the A101 - better known as the Rotherhithe Tunnel. Noteable as it probably took a good few months of my life. There was a spate of videos a while ago of people doing it, and I did it at the peak of the wave (first attempt foiled by the tunnel being closed)

Longest clinch is probably the A112 (done in pieces as part of several walks of about 12 miles) at 14.34 miles.

DandyDan

I once walked the length of Iowa 165 when I was still living in the Omaha area. Not exactly the best idea (too much truck traffic), but it seemed like a good idea at the moment.
MORE FUN THAN HUMANLY THOUGHT POSSIBLE

catch22

I've walked the entire 3/4 mile length of Michigan's M-212 when on a family vacation camping at Aloha State Park.

Like some others here, I've biked the entire length of M-185 on Mackinac Island.
