Problems with the New York thread?

I've noticed that the New York thread seems to be taking a long time to load sometimes and my first attempt to post my recent reply on that thread hit forum trouble with some kind of uncaught type exception (I didn't copy the full error - maybe I should have).  Is something corrupted with it?
