In regard to these, I believe I have seen this before, but my brain cannot think of a specific location off the top of my head.

As part of a BGS, Massachusetts uses these at the transition from I-495 to MA 25:

I want to say I've seen them in another place in Mass too, but it's slipping my mind at the moment.

Maybe where I-395 changes to I-290?

Not gonna lie I wanna see this on AR 933.2 so bad lol

This is located north of Mountain View (Stone County), this is the entire route. You can see the AR 933-2 shield up top, it's just a boat ramp to the intersection of the White River and Sylamore Creek. It's 0.03 miles (or about 200 feet) long.

You don't drive enough.

The only problem with CA 153 is that it is the fifth shortest California State Highway.  If we are counting what has actual reassurance shields it is the second shortest behind CA 77.

Thank you both... that was bugging me! I think 395-to-290 was on my mind, since I just got off the Pike there a few weeks ago. (I was on the left-side onramp from the Pike to 290, but the sign is so close to the merge point that it's pretty easily visible.) I haven't been on the northern end of 495 in ages... funny that both ends of the same highway have this.

So there are about 15 roads in the US that need signs that say "NOTICE: This route never ends".

This is the road that never ends, yes it goes on and on my friends.
Some people started driving it not knowing what it was, and they'll continue driving it forever just because...

Interesting that Business US 31 is still signed on NB SR 933 and SB SR 23 in South Bend.  Plus SB US 31 Business is still signed as if the couplet of Main and Michigan are still one way streets.

Also the erroneous US 31 North shield is present.
Every day is a winding road, you just got to get used to it.

Mount Shasta City is posted on this guide.  However, Route 89 don't go to it.  In fact one must turn onto Mount Shasta Boulevard which is also the next exit beyond the ramp to CA 89.

Also near there, the control city for 89 is Reno, even though you have to take 89, 44, 36, and US-395 to get there.

Edit:  A better shot of the above assembly this time adding a few more interesting features such as the US 40 shield (looks like Maryland SHA signed this) but the horizontal NO TURN ON RED on the signal mast arm.

I have one here of large overhead WRONG WAY signs in St Pete, Florida.

I'm on my android so I can't share the picture, but next time I'm on my slow PC, I will paste it here. Meanwhile the link.

Edit:  I was able to upload here.

If you thought this map sign was difficult to read from the parking area ...

https://maps.app.goo.gl/g3A3kJAusxGixs1G9

... try reading a similar sign down the road at speed.

At least the sign on the road has WY highway shields to label the roads as opposed to the tiny type labeling the roads on the white lines in the parking lot sign.  But yes, a classic.

machias

I noticed WYDOT is big on lines and little capital letters on their guide signs.  I've also seen quite a few ----- BUSINESS ----- over multiple shields on some guide signs.

TBKS1

A super unique sign I found on the drive home from East Texas the other day...

Located at the intersection of I-49 and LA 175, this is one of the sign contractors for LADOTD.

You don't drive enough.

This NPS sign indicates Boston as a destination, yet Boston is northwest of it, across Cape Cod Bay, and traffic is more likely to be coming from Provincetown Center than the end of MA 6A.

Further east, we get this odd Parking sign with three arrows:

I would assume 'Boston' is more the tourists.

Also, I like the 'EXIT ONLY' for a left turn lane here

Some tourists are coming from Boston, yes, but many more are coming from west or south of there.
