What are you plans for the United States Independence Day (July 4th) holiday weekend? This is for the United States readers.
Welcome to Breezewood, PA... the parking lot between I-70 and I-70.

Driving on the 4th to PA, no idea what we'll be doing while there (assuming we'll eat some food), driving back on the 8th.

No travel plans. We were going to hit the golf course tomorrow, but I changed the tee time to Saturday because it's rained so much that I figure it'll be too muddy tomorrow.

My mother is coming home tomorrow night from a trip to New England and I told her I'll pick her up and give her a lift home so she doesn't need to get a cab. Exciting stuff, I know.

Heading to Indy on the 3rd for a concert, then to Goshen for a family gathering on the 4th, then back home.

Not traveling this year. Usually I'm heading to camp and hike in the Colorado Mountains, but Phish screwed me up and decided to have 3 nights in Boulder over the 4th instead of their normal Labor Day run. So I'm going Phishing and not camping or hiking.

Stay home and try to make sure the people playing with fireworks don't set anything important on fire.
Complain about them continuing to set off fireworks once it's July 5.

Just a regular Friday for me.

I will be perfectly honest and say I'm more interested in celebrating Nevada Day this year.

No plans on the 4th or 5th. Might take a short day trip on Sunday the 6th, but likely won't have an entry for the "What road did you leave and re-enter your state on?" thread unless I end up near Huntington and decide to visit the nearest Sheetz.

My travel plans are severely curtailed because my mother fell and broke her hip at the beginning of June. She is back home and recovering. Since I'm the caregiver, I can't go too far alone, and she is limited on distance she can travel.

A project that I will be doing this weekend is upgrading the hardware of my TrueNAS server to a faster processor which means new motherboard, new memory (DDR5 ECC from DDR4 ECC), and a new CPU fan. I will also start posting on job sites.

I'm going up to Crystal Cave and Buck Rock in on the day of the holiday.  I had my eye on a truss bridge and dirt road in Mariposa County for the 6th.

I'll be leaving early tomorrow, as I'm planning to spend the weekend in L.A.

As usual, we'll be headed to my parents' house.  Taking local streets, it's seven miles;  the Canal Route, twelve.

Work 10 hours, go home, fire off some backyard toys, and go to work the next day.

Travelled a lot in June, spending too much money in the process, so we are doing a four day weekend at home.

We have some free passes to the Deere Classic, so we are going tomorrow for our first PGA tour event. Not much for golf, but gotta check it out.

I'll likely be spending it right here, as the neighbors again celebrate their freedom from British Monarchy and make a mockery of restrictive fireworks rules.

I go to quite a few PGA Tour events.  The John Deere Classic is very well organized (some of them, not so much) and is played on a course that's excellent for spectating.  That's why I traveled to Moline this weekend.  If you don't need to see the superstars, who don't come to this tournament, it's a great one to attend.

I'll be walking all 18 with Kevin Yu, Peter Malnati and Luke List on Friday, 1:11 p.m. tee time, back nine first.  If you happen to cross paths with those guys, look for me and say hi!  I wear a full-brim gray hat and sunglasses that fit over my regular glasses so I look like a bug, and special for July 4, a rather loud red, white and blue shirt.

Here's Malnati (my favorite player to follow, with such a great attitude on the course) getting out of the greenside bunker to get up and down for par at 18 today.

Nice! I will look for you, but otherwise have no idea what you are talking about.  :sombrero:  :sombrero:  :sombrero:

Well I had my fun. I experimented with artillery shells for the first time, and next year is going to be even better.

My holiday travel plans were canceled (my wife went to Walmart without me).

Instead I made tacos.

Crystal Cave was breeze getting to.  Probably doesn't hurt the bulk of traffic on Generals Highway enters on CA 198.  I almost always enter on CA 180.  I spent the evening swimming and eating ribs at friend's house.

Really regretting not scheduling a Canadian trip for this weekend. The idiots are doing idiot things.
