Quote from: route56 on May 28, 2025, 10:21:07 PM35-46 KA 5060-01: Replace the Gardner Road bridge over I-35 and reconstruct the interchange. Two-lane exit on the Southbound I-35 off-ramp with Arrow Per Lane signage. Dondlinger & Sons Construction Co. Inc., Wichita, $26,157,993.74

Looks like they had a public meeting for a future (unfunded) phase for this project.

The I-35 project from the June lettings was for exit 207. The project you are referring to is the next exit to the north, exit 210.
Peace to you, and... don't drive like my brother.

Annoyingly, the only information I could find from KDOT regarding the I-35/Gardner Road interchange project is from this hour-long presentation they gave to the city of Gardner in early 2021. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i4U68UM3Y48

It shows an "interim" bridge project and an "ultimate" solution for the interchange. The interim bridge would essentially be one of the two bridges needed for an eventual DDI. The original budget from 2021, in FY 2024 dollars, was $17.2 million, so I don't know if the awarded bid at $26.2 million includes additional work or is just that bad of an inflationary increase from the original budget.
